University of Arkansas at Little Rock William H. Bowen School of Law embarked on a strategic initiative to enhance its operational efficiency and sustainability by replacing its outdated infrastructure with a modern, efficient system.
With a total cost of $3.5 million, the ESPC project a UA Little Rock's Bowen School of Law primarily focused on replacing the aged and inefficient steam system that had long been a burden on the institution’s operational budget. The goal was to introduce a state-of-the-art heating water system to improve efficiency and significantly reduce utility and maintenance costs.
Additionally, the project involved replacing existing fan coil units, further contributing to the overall improvement in energy efficiency and climate control within the facility.
The implementation of this project by ENFRA has led to remarkable financial benefits for the Bowen School of Law. The new systems have successfully reduced annual utility costs by $95,000, a substantial saving that directly contributes to the institution’s bottom line. Moreover, the project has lowered annual operations and maintenance expenses by $7,000, underscoring the long-term financial advantages of the infrastructure upgrade. The project is expected to yield $3.4 million in net total savings over the 20-year term.
