Lafayette Parish School System Southside High School

Lafayette Parish School Board chose to build a new high school to support the community’s rapid growth. Located in Youngsville, Louisiana, Southside High School serves more than 1,200 students in the parish. The new facility was the first to be constructed in Lafayette Parish in nearly 50 years. The 256,000-square-foot school contains classrooms, administrative offices, a library, laboratories, dining facility, collaboration spaces, and two gymnasiums.

ENFRA provided mechanical and electrical construction on the project. With an aggressive, 18-month construction schedule, our team collaborated closely with the architect, engineer, and Construction Manager through design-assist delivery. This alternative construction method embeds contracting expertise into the design process. As a result, construction was able to start as the design was being finalized, expediting the construction schedule.

Southside High School was completed on time, opening for its first class of students in August 2017. ENFRA continues to serve Lafayette Parish School Board with HVAC service and maintenance at Southside High School and many other facilities throughout the parish.
