A comprehensive energy infrastructure initiative supporting operational stability and long-term value across Memorial Health’s acute care facilities.
ENFRA is partnering with Memorial Health on a 30-year Energy‑as‑a‑Service (EaaS) project to modernize energy and infrastructure systems across the health system. The project will support long-term cost savings, operational efficiency, and sustainability enhancements.
The scope includes comprehensive energy and infrastructure upgrades at four of Memorial Health’s five acute care campuses. Key components include 6.4 MWh of on-site solar generation, enterprise-wide air handling and terminal unit upgrades, heating and cooling system optimization, and a full central energy plant renewal at the Decatur campus.
The project is structured to deliver guaranteed energy savings of 18.15%, representing approximately $2.0 million in first-year post-construction savings and $115.3 million over the 30-year term. It is also expected to reduce purchased electricity across Memorial Health’s acute care facilities by 18%.
Memorial Health operates five hospitals across Central Illinois, supporting approximately 6,700 employees and more than 850 licensed beds system-wide.
