This EaaS partnership is expected to enhance sustainability, modernize infrastructure, and strengthen long-term resiliency at MCH's Odessa campus.
ENFRA has partnered with Medical Center Health System (MCH Health) in a 30-year Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS) agreement to modernize and future-proof the system’s Odessa, Texas campus. This long-term collaboration delivers comprehensive energy infrastructure upgrades, integrates renewable energy, and provides guaranteed operational savings while enabling MCH Health to prioritize patient care and community investment.
Through this partnership, MCH Health will receive $61.8 million to modernize and upgrade critical energy infrastructure. The collaboration is also expected to generate $161.4 million in guaranteed savings over the 30-year term and reduce carbon emissions by 78.7%, marking a significant step forward in the system’s sustainability strategy.
Located in the heart of the Permian Basin, MCH Health operates a primary acute care facility with more than 400 licensed beds, 450 providers, and 30 clinic locations, holding an 86.2% market share across its primary service area. With this partnership, MCH Health will modernize essential systems while maintaining financial flexibility and long-term resiliency.

As part of the project, ENFRA will deploy a 24.5 MWh solar solution that offsets purchased electricity, enables power sales back to the local utility, and supports peak shaving. The project will also generate $6.5 million in direct pay Investment Tax Credits.
By shifting the financial and operational risk to ENFRA, MCH Health can prioritize what matters most. The partnership allows the system to focus its capital on clinical investments and community care while ENFRA delivers measurable performance and guaranteed savings year after year.
