East Alabama Health (EAH) partnered with ENFRA to deliver $30 million in infrastructure upgrades across its two hospitals. This EaaS project enhances efficiency, reduces utility costs by over $800,000 annually, and provides liquidity for critical capital improvements while maintaining EAH’s strong credit rating.

East Alabama Health (EAH) is a public healthcare authority with headquarters in Opelika, AL. The dominant healthcare provider in the Auburn-Opelika area, EAH owns and operates two hospitals with more than 400 licensed beds in total: EAMC-Main in Opelika and EAMC-Lanier in Valley, Alabama.

EAH partnered with ENFRA to develop and execute an enterprise-level Energy-as-a-Service arrangement. The project encompassed both campuses and included $30 million in upfront infrastructure improvements and more than $800,000 in projected utility cost reduction.

For EAH, the transaction provides significant liquidity and addresses a backlog of capital improvements while preserving the authority’s sound credit rating.
