Since 2010, ENFRA (previously ETC Group) has worked with Banner Health to implement retro-commissioning (RCx) projects for their multiple facilities, many achieving significant energy savings. After completion of these initial projects, ENFRA and Banner Health identified a degradation of measure performance and energy savings. In 2016, we developed a strategy to deliver and maintain additional energy savings. Bernhard deployed the SkySpark analytics platform with custom-coded fault detection algorithms. The analytics was utilized to perform “deeper-dive” retro-commissioning projects.
Banner Health adopted an enterprise-wide approach to energy savings and organized an energy management team and a Remote Operations Center (ROC). Banner’s ROC and ENFRA collaborated to focus on maintaining cost and energy savings, while meeting environmental and compliance standards across more facilities. Issues are now identified, and corrective actions taken faster than before. As a result, Banner now proactively combats performance drift to maintain energy savings.
ENFRA’s ReCx, MBCx, and Turnkey program includes three (3) phases, totaling 28 buildings (15+ Million ft2). Our works in Phase I, II, and III have resulted in over $12 million in annual cost savings.
