ENFRA and PIH Health Enter 30-Year Energy-as-a-Service Partnership to Drive Sustainability and Energy Savings

ENFRA and PIH Health, a nonprofit, regional medical network operating three hospitals and serving more than 3 million residents across the greater Los Angeles area, have entered into a 30-year enterprise-wide Energy-as-a-Service partnership. This transformative agreement underscores PIH Health’s commitment to sustainability, resilience, and long-term financial strength while reinforcing ENFRA’s expertise in delivering comprehensive energy solutions.

The partnership guarantees $207.7 million in total savings over the 30-year term, with an annual utility expense reduction of $3.8 million (16.4%). Through this partnership, PIH Health will also achieve a 33.3% reduction in natural gas consumption and a 14.6% decrease in carbon emissions, significantly advancing the organization’s environmental sustainability goals.

PIH Health is reinvesting in its energy infrastructure to improve operational reliability and resiliency. This unique agreement allows PIH Health to leverage energy savings without adding long-term debt.
