Rebrand
As of May 1, 2025, Bernhard is now ENFRA. Our name has changed, but our leadership, ownership, and commitment to delivering trusted energy infrastructure solutions remain the same.

On May 1, 2025, Bernhard officially rebranded as ENFRA — a name that reflects our growth, innovation, and leadership in energy infrastructure and Energy-as-a-Service (EaaS).
“For more than 100 years, we have built a legacy of excellence in providing services related to energy infrastructure,” said Rob Guthrie, CEO of ENFRA. “As ENFRA, we are embracing the future with a bold new identity that better reflects our mission, values, and leadership in sustainable energy solutions. While our name is changing, our shareholders, leadership, services, and commitment to our customers remain the same. This rebrand is simply about aligning our brand with our core business.”
The shift to ENFRA represents our core focus on energy and infrastructure while positioning ourselves for future growth. The rebrand strengthens our identity as a trusted partner in delivering vertically integrated energy solutions, including engineering, mechanical and electrical construction, service and maintenance, asset management, and its flagship offering, EaaS.
While our shareholders, leadership, mission, vision, and core values remain unchanged, the rebrand introduced:
- A new name and logo that reinforces ENFRA’s leadership in sustainable energy solutions.
- A new tagline — Create. Sustain. Empower. — highlighting ENFRA’s role in developing energy solutions, ensuring long-term sustainability, and empowering customers to lead in the energy transition.
- A refreshed visual identity, including updated brand colors, typography, and a modernized look across all platforms.
- A legal name change from Bernhard, LLC to ENFRA, LLC, beginning May 1, 2025.
CUSTOMER & VENDOR FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS
1. WHAT’S CHANGING?
Q: Is your company being acquired, changing ownership, or reorganizing?
- A: No, this is strictly a legal name change as part of a broader rebrand. There is no change in ownership, legal structure, or EIN. We’re still the same entity you’ve contracted with; just operating under a new name going forward. Contact Rebrand@Bernhard.com for a list of current and future entity names.
2. EFFECTIVE DATES & TIMING
Q: When is the name change effective?
A: The legal name change is being filed in our state of domicile on May 1, 2025. We will then begin updating our registration in all other states where we are authorized to do business. After the Secretary of State filings are complete, we will proceed with filing name change amendments with the applicable specialty licensing boards.
Our accounting and ERP system will transition to the new entity names effective June 2, 2025, so invoices issued after that date will reflect the new names. However, until all licensing updates are complete, we will continue using the Bernhard legal names for certain contracts, stamped drawings, and other technical or regulated deliverables which require a specialty trade license for the performance of the scope of work.
3. CONTRACTS & LEGAL DOCUMENTS
Q: When should we amend our contract to reflect the new name?
A: If the scope of work does not require a specialty license, and the project does not involve regulated trade services, the contract can be amended to reflect the new name as soon as we receive confirmation from the Secretary of State that the name change has been approved in our state of domicile.
If the work requires a specialty or trade license (e.g., HVAC, plumbing, electrical, general contracting), we will continue executing contracts and producing deliverables under the Bernhard legal entity names until all relevant licensing boards have processed and approved our name change. This is to ensure full compliance with licensing regulations, which generally require the licensed name to match the name on project documents and permits. We’ll notify you when it’s appropriate to amend contract documents or issue a name change rider.
Q: Can you still sign contracts or submit deliverables under the Bernhard name after May 1?
- A: Yes. Until our specialty trade licenses are updated to reflect the new name, we will continue to execute documents and stamp drawings under the Bernhard legal entity names.
4. INVOICING & PAYMENT
Q: When will the ENFRA name appear on invoices and financial documents?
- A: Starting June 2, 2025, all invoices and accounting-related documents will reflect the new ENFRA legal entity names.
Q: Who should we make checks payable to?
- A: You can make checks payable to either the old legal entity names or the new names after June 2. Because our EIN remains the same, both will be valid for payment processing during this transition period.
Q: Will your banking information change?
- A: No – our banking information remains the same. Only the entity names on the account may change after June 2, 2025.
Q: Will your W-9 be updated?
- A: Yes, we will issue an updated W-9 reflecting the new legal entity names once the name change is finalized with the Secretary of State. The EIN will remain the same.
Q: Can we update your name in our vendor system now?
- A: We recommend waiting until we notify you that all licensing updates are complete, and the name change is fully in effect. In the meantime, please continue to reference the Bernhard legal entity names for all project documents and deliverables.
