Environment
According to the UN Emissions Gap Report of 2024, greenhouse gas emissions are reaching new highs and climate impacts are intensifying globally. Without urgent environmental action, catastrophic global warming and climate change impacts will be unavoidable. There is still time to stabilize the climate by making aggressive and widespread progress towards net zero by 2050 – a task Bernhard is fully dedicated to supporting.
As an energy infrastructure firm with a steadfast commitment to reducing the environmental impact of the built environment, we stand as a reliable partner, empowering our customers to achieve their sustainability goals with confidence and ease. At the same time, ENFRA recognizes our responsibility to monitor and mitigate the environmental impacts of our own operations.
Sustainable Solutions for Our Customers
ENFFRA’s business has always centered around energy efficiency and drastically reducing utility consumption and greenhouse gas emissions for our customers. To date, we’ve collectively saved nearly $1.7 billion dollars and avoided nearly 6.7 million metric tons of CO2e for our customers.
Our multi-disciplinary team examines every aspect of a facility to find and implement technical solutions that cut emissions, increase reliability and resiliency, improve efficiency, and incorporate renewable energy solutions. We offer comprehensive energy optimization services for buildings in commercial, healthcare, education, manufacturing, and more.
ENFRA’s Commitment
While we’ve been helping our customers operate more sustainably for decades, Bernhard recognizes that we have a responsibility to monitor and mitigate the environmental impacts of our own operations.
ENFRA is a carbon neutral company through the deployment of compensation measures that offset our annual Scope 1, Scope 2, and select Scope 3 greenhouse gas emissions. As we strive towards our long-term goal of becoming net zero by 2050 or sooner, a combination of reduction efforts and compensation measures will be utilized under a hierarchy prioritizing avoidance. Our Climate Action Plan centers around short and mid-term strategies focused on our primary emissions sources: fleet management, business travel, and utility consumption.
